The Ghana Tourism Development Company (GTDC), under the visionary leadership of Prof. Kobby Mensah, is developing the Ghana Tourism Investment Platform (GTiP) an upcoming digital initiative designed to profile, present and promote tourism investment opportunities across the country and the world at large When launched, GTiP will serve as a one-stop digital showcase connecting domestic and international investors with high-value tourism projects from eco-parks to leisure facilities driving growth in Ghana’s tourism economy
Currently, the project is in its pilot phase, focusing on two flagship sites:
Konkon Wonderland Ecological Park and Farm Resort – Ghana’s first farm resort and ecological park, blending agro-tourism, eco-tourism, and cultural leisure.
Centre of the World Golf Club – a historic and geographically iconic golf course on the Greenwich Meridian.
The pilot phase team included Prof. Kobby Mensah (CEO, GTDC), Lein Tetteh (PR/Communications Officer), Paul Sowah (Accounts Officer), Mr. Godfred (Website Designer), Abednego Okantey (Photographer), and Mr. Lartey (Drone Pilot), who visited, documented, and profiled these destinations as the first step towards building the platform’s investment portfolio.
Centre of the World Golf Club
Located in Tema on the Greenwich Meridian, this 18-hole championship course blends sport, heritage, and geography in one iconic destination. Established in 1957, its history reflects Ghana’s post-independence vision. With facilities including a clubhouse and social spaces, it has significant potential to become a world-class tourism and sporting hub.
