The Ghana Tourism Development Company (GTDC), through its Fleet Pool Management Services (FPMS), has engaged a transport company seeking partnership to support tourism mobility and transport solutions in Ghana.

The engagement was led by Mustapha, a Ghanaian-based Swiss medical professional who also runs a transport service operating across Togo, Benin, and Côte d’Ivoire. He was accompanied by his Transport Manager, Mr. Issah, who had earlier presented a proposal to GTDC. The proposal was received by Prof. and given initial approval in principle.

During the meeting, Prof. expressed excitement about the partnership opportunity and enquired about the registration status and type of vehicles available. Mustapha explained that the fleet consists mainly of mini vans and Yutong buses, including 27/30-seater buses and other buses with capacities ranging from 12 to 70 seats.

The discussion further explored the possibility of securing a double-decker bus for GTDC to support the running of the Accra By Night tour. Prof. also requested that, where possible, the buses could be branded with GTDC’s identity to strengthen visibility and promote the company’s tourism products.

Mustapha and his team showed great enthusiasm about working with GTDC. In the spirit of partnership, Mustapha also expressed interest in sponsoring a GTDC trip to Benin, opening further conversations around regional tourism, cross-border travel experiences, and West African destination connectivity.

As part of the engagement, a nightlife content creator was also introduced as a potential partner for Accra By Night content creation. This presents an opportunity to strengthen the visibility of the Accra By Night experience through creative storytelling, nightlife-focused promotion, and social media content.

Overall, the meeting highlighted strong prospects for collaboration between GTDC and the transport partner under FPMS, with potential benefits for transport access, destination promotion, Accra By Night operations, branded mobility, and regional tourism experiences across Ghana and neighbouring countries.
