The Ghana Tourism Development Company Limited (GTDC) reaffirms its commitment to the development and promotion of strategic tourism initiatives through its support for the forthcoming Gomoa Easter Carnival.

In furtherance of this commitment, the Company actively participated in preparatory engagements for the event. Notably, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer responsible for Operations represented GTDC at a stakeholder meeting and was duly tasked to chair the Carnival’s Planning Committee. This responsibility is aimed at ensuring the effective coordination of activities and the provision of the requisite institutional support necessary for the successful organization of the event.

The event is scheduled to be held at the Gomoa Ekwamkrom Park and is expected to feature performances by some of Ghana’s top musical artistes, alongside a range of cultural and entertainment activities. This initiative represents a unique addition to Ghana’s Easter festivities and is strategically positioned to complement and potentially rival established celebrations such as the Kwahu Easter experience.

The Carnival is currently spearheaded by the Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, Honourable Kwame Asare Obeng, whose leadership continues to drive the vision of transforming the Gomoa enclave into a vibrant hub for cultural tourism and entertainment.

GTDC’s involvement underscores its mandate to facilitate the development of sustainable tourism products through strategic partnerships and stakeholder collaboration. The Company remains committed to supporting initiatives that contribute meaningfully to positioning Ghana as a competitive and vibrant tourism destination.
