In a strategic move to boost agro-tourism in Ghana, the management team of AgriHive Consult Ltd, Ghana’s leading agro-tourism agency, has paid a working visit to the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Development Company Limited (GTDC), Professor Kobby Mensah.
The visit was aimed at exploring potential areas of collaboration to unlock Ghana's untapped agro-tourism potential, foster rural development, and attract both domestic and international visitors to agriculture-based experiences.
During the meeting, Professor Kobby Mensah emphasized the critical role agriculture can play in the country’s tourism landscape.
“Ghana’s agricultural potential is unmatched and should be a major tool to drive both domestic and international tourism,” he noted. “While we have made tremendous strides in mainstream tourism, agro-tourism remains largely underexplored. A partnership with AgriHive is a step in the right direction to develop this unique sector.”
